Yesterday was Tech Day NYC , an expo for startups, science fair style, with representation from all verticals, from across the country and world in fintech, social media, hardware, enterprise, health and fitness, fashion, music and media, education, and ecommerce.We spoke with countless startups with interesting new ideas: MovieQu, like Shazam for movies, Cups, a coffee subscription app that saves you money the more coffee you drink (dangerous!), Rentity, which gives you a commission for finding a new tenant after moving out, Fluent City, with foreign language classes and cultural events….the list goes on.And the latest in accelerators in New York – Intel is opening an Education accelerator and is currently recruiting for their inaugural class – got an edtech idea anyone?We returned to the NY Intl offices excited about all the innovation going on in NYC and beyond, and even got some office decoration to inspire us, thanks to Cups and startup job site Lynxsy.
