Brooks Brothers is sacrificing expensive retail square footage at one of it’s stores to incorporate a new cafe concept. The shop, at 901 Broadway in Manhattan’s Flatiron District, is dedicated to the Red Fleece line designed “with the young entrepreneur in mind.”Brooks Brothers, America’s longest established retailer is the latest among several NYC brands who are providing an ‘in-store experience’ to entice consumers back into their stores. Century 21’s new store in Brooklyn also includes a fully fledged Brooklyn Roasting Company Cafe while Samsung have kept space for the Strand Cafe at their experience store in the Meatpacking district.The warm welcome is working for America’s longest established retailer Brooks Brothers: store traffic has tripled since the café opened two weeks ago, according to vice president of hospitality, Marco Revedin.
